NEW BUYS...

I love having a job, it just makes funding my makeup collection so much easier! The other day I treated myself after unpicking some wedding dresses and since all makeup was 3 for 2 in boots I bought myself 3 absolute essentials and favourites!

1. Babylips- these are genuinely my everyday favourites and normally I just use my peach kiss for everyday purposes  but I thought I'd try out another colour so I really pushed myself to try this one and I have to say it wasn't too much of a risk. It's only a subtle amount of colour which is good for everyday looks but I find that when you have sore lips it really sits in the chaps and cracks, but I've started using Carmex Green Tea lip care every night to try and get my lips in better form.

2. Master Shape Eyebrow Pencil in blonde- everyone that knows me will tell you that I'm an absolute sucker for a good pair of eyebrows and most days I'll fill mine in with a subtle eyeshadow. But with a full face of makeup I prefer to use a pencil to make my brows stand out more than normal. I tend to find that even though colours look the same in the shop they normally don't when you use them. I managed to buy a ginger pencil once which did not look too good I have to say :')

3. Master Precise Eyeliner- another item that I am forever buying because I can never find one that I'm actually happy with! BUT I THINK I HAVE FINALLY FOUND ONE! I've tried other felt tip style eyeliners and I find that they don't actually look black, I like my eyeliner to look black...like black black! And when I've tried liquid eyeliner I just find it so much hassle waiting for it to dry! But I tried this one and Oh My Gosh it's amazing! It gives the look of liquid liner just with the application of a felt tip...perfect!

Also I wanted to share my new outfit because I felt a bit like a princess the other day, which probably sounds silly but long cardigans that flow make me happy!
So my outfit was pretty much all from Primark because I'd gone a couple of days before but I'd bought this grey/black long knitted cardigan which I am absolutely in love with and I wore it with my Primark super skinnies and a white floral shirt.
Have a posey photo of this cute lil number

Also I think this cardigan can look really good dressed up. For example I wore it with my checked a line skirt from new look and it was good to help make the outfit look more casual.
(sorry its in black and white)

Outfit & make up of the day...

So the other day I had a good face and outfit day and it made me rather proud:')

To keep it sweet and simple, I did the normal full face make up (as described in my autumn make up tutorial) but changed the gold autumnal colours for darker greys and purples, also adding in a very light grey/white for the highlight just under the brow.
As you can see I used quite bold eyeliner with this look, and for this I used my Barry M Liquid Liner.

OOTD:
Tartan scarf - Primark
Cropped denim shirt - Topshop
DIY ripped skinnies - Primark
White frilly socks (absolute must have) - Topshop
White cardigan - New Look

Scarfs are my favourites, Primark scarves I think are under £10 so grab yourself a few! Also New Look's scarf collection is beautiful this year:')

Autumn in a cup...

*Starbucks post alert*

Okay so this is my favourite time for Starbucks (that's a lie, it's always my favourite time for Starbucks) but autumn is great because it's cold and wet and holding a Starbucks is great for warming your hands and your body and your heart. Seriously.
But sadly it's also the time where I feel I have to ditch the frappes and turn to hot drinks, which isn't a bad thing it's just a bit sad to say goodbye to them.

SO BECAUSE I'VE NOT POSTED YET ABOUT STARBUCKS I'M GOING TO WRITE ABOUT MY FAVOURITE 3 HOT DRINKS WOO LETS GO!

3) White Caffe Mocha ~ omfg this is beautiful, really beautiful! Also white mocha frappes are to die for! They were my definite favourite for summer!

2) Vanilla Latte ~ this is my Dad's favourite, and so I have him to thank for introducing me! But also hazelnut lattes are pretty close to perfect'

1) PUMPKIN SPICED LATTE ~ also known as autumn in a cup for me;) I really love them oh my gosh, ahh! However make sure you stir it a lot otherwise you get an overload of spice at the end! Also I'm going to try my next one with an extra shot (and being a gold member I get this for free;) ) BUT GET ONE AND MAKE EVERYONE YOU KNOW BUY ONE BECAUSE THEY'RE FANDABBYDOSEY!

So...  enjoy your next trip to Starbucks:)

Autumn is finally here...

Okay so I find myself constantly saying how much I want it to be autumn because I love the idea of sitting in Starbucks with my pumpkin spiced latte, wearing oversized jumpers and then dancing in the rain because you're too wet to even worry about the rain anymore! However, just as you buy a new wardrobe of clothes, you have to do the same for makeup! As well as changing styles, it also means that buying waterproof products is also an absolute MUST.

Like in my autumn makeup tutorial, I used very autumnal colours which could be paired with a berry lip. I personally don't do this as I have rather small lips so wearing lipstick exaggerates this and it just doesn't look right! (for this I have found a few hints that I'll tell you about another day) but I seriously love berry lipsticks at the moment, especially with quite minimal eye makeup, a messy bun and a fluffy tartan scarf.

Looking at the autumn/winter makeup trends, things like completely nude looking makeup with drawing attention to the lashes is really in this year. I always end up turning to Cara Delevigne for help on this one as she has a natural beauty. What I love about Cara is that she can go for a really natural look but also go really crazy with some of the runway looks that you may not necessarily want to wear day to day...

The molten eye is unique and original but may not be pulled off by everybody! I haven't tried it yet, and I'm not sure if I'm planning on it, but with the right colour I'm sure it can really make your POP!

Finally, my absolute must have for the horrible British weather conditions is fixing mist! I wasn't sure at first wether this would actually work but it does! Its amazing! A definite must for your autumn/winter makeup collection!

Autumn make up look...

Unlike most people that will blog about make up, I'm not someone that will spend loads of money on one item of make up... I like to keep it fairly cheap! I love being able to buy a lot for a little rather than buying one item when I go out. Sometimes this backfires and I really see how cheap the makeup is, however most of the stuff I end up buying is actually okay!

So this is the look I went for today...

This is a fairly natural look for me as normally I'm a huge eyeliner kind of girl, but I think this is a look that's absolutely perfect for autumn! This autumn/winter very very plain make up is a big thing so going for the more natural looks is going to be key, however over the top eyeliner is also very in which is perfect for me, eeeek:')

Anyway, like I said, I like to keep things cheap so for this look I used:

  • Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer
    • (I naturally have really oily eyelids so any eye makeup ends up just sitting in the creases and just looks awful, but since I've been using this primer before applying my make up, everything stays in place perfectly and doesn't go anywhere)
  • Natural Collection's Concealer and Tinted Moisturiser
    •  (I personally don't like using foundation as it feels really heavy compared to tinted moisturiser and I also think that for just everyday looks this is enough)
  • MUA Pro Base Eye Primer
  • MUA Eyeshadow Palette Undress Me Too
  • NYC Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Pencil Chocolate Brown
  • MUA Luxe Power Brow Fair
  • Rimmel Wonderfull Mascara
  • MUA Mosaic Bronzer Natural Glow Shade 1
  • NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder
  • MUA  Fixing Mist
  • {Babylips Peach Kiss}
~As you can tell I really love MUA at the moment, it's just so cheap but a fairly good quality! Also the brushes that I've been using recently are from Wilkinson's new collection and they're amazing! They're really soft and so much better than any of my other brushes!~

Here's how to do it:

Always always always moisturise before you do your makeup, otherwise it will really dry out your skin and nobody wants that:) Pop on some primer to your eyelids and any other areas where make up easily escapes. Then apply concealer under eyes and on any spots you really want to hide and blend outwards. Apply tinted moisturiser all over face and blend thoroughly so you don't get those dreaded lines round the outside of your face:) Dab some powder all over your face but focus mainly on the areas where your make up escapes to help hold it in place. If you're using the bronzer then apply along your jawline and on your temples.
I always do my eyebrows next and to do this I just follow the natural line of my brows and try and make them look a tiny bit fuller and tidier. Also if you don't like the look of your brows when you fill them in and think it's too harsh then I would really recommend Maybeline's Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara. I started to use this before I filled in my brows and it just helps to make your brows look tidier without them looking any darker!

Now onto the eyes... my favourite part :D

I took the colour Devotion from my Undress Me Too Palette and applied it to the inner corner of my eyelid and under the eye on the inner third. Then I took Tranquil and blended into Devotion and took it all over my lid and then continuing to take it under my eye on the middle third. Finally to achieve the slightly smokey effect, I took Fiery across the crease and blend into the other colours, also taking on the outer third under my bottom lashes slightly. If you think it's not quite dark enough then I think Wink would look good with this look, just blend a tiny bit through the outer edge of the crease. Now taking the eyeliner pencil, draw a thin line along your lash line. If you're a winged eyeliner kind of person then go for it! I personally struggle with doing wings with pencils as I prefer a strong black wing, however it can look so effective if done properly... so just give it a go!:)
Now - MASCARA! I really love the mascara I've been using recently, it doesn't clump, my lashes look individual and so much fuller! It's really worth the buy! But yeah apply to top and bottom lashes for the finished look!
Last but not least, spray some fixing mist mainly across the eyes but also across your whole face, apply some babylips peach kiss and then you're done and ready to go!

here's the final look :)

This is a bit of a weird one... CLOUDS!

So although most of the time when I look up at the clouds I imagine them having a conversation with each other, at times I realise just how beautiful they are. And quite honestly they make me smile. They are pure and individual, none are the same! And I find this intriguing as it seems strange that something so simple can be so intricate and different to the one next to it.

When I look up at clouds, I like to think just how many people are looking up at the same cloud (I often then realise that people are pretty miserable so probably nobody but the thought is nice). Seriously though, just think how many people could be looking up at the same clouds as you... its crazy!

One of the things on my bucket list was to touch a cloud. However I soon took it off as I was told that clouds don't actually feel like candy floss? But I would still love to stand on a mountain and be surrounded by a cloud as I believe they are something beautiful that we take for granted every day and it would just be an amazing experience!

It's not only clouds that I love. Sunsets and stars are the others! Recently I've been going out to watch the sunset and laying and looking at the stars and dragging my friends out to do this with me - which deep down I know they love! I just feel like sometimes we take these things for granted, the world we live in is truly a beautiful beautiful place and it sometimes just takes a bit of time to realise that!

~I am sorry that this is a bit random but I'm really trying to take the little things in and it makes me happy, so I thought I'd share it with you all~

First proper post y'all...

eeeeek this is exciting :')

So I thought I'd tell you about the sort of music that I listen to considering it's going to be a big part of this blog! I feel like my taste in music is very varied but I get really attached to albums and then forget about all of the other really amazing stuff, then go back to an all time favourite and then so on...
But recently I've started listening to my recommended albums on Deezer and it's crazy how much I've found that I absolutely love!

I'm going to share with you my summer playlist because for me it's perfect and fairly chilled, I feel like it's really good picnic music and maybe you guys will find some stuff on it that you really love :')

(now can I please just say that it's a little bit muddily...like some of the songs really don't mix well together but I just feel like they're all very chilled)

  •  Two Door Cinema Club-Beacon (every single song on this album oh my gosh)

This one is just so obviously meant to be a summer album and I have the whole album on my playlist because every song just seems to sound SO summery and I love it so I can't choose specific songs from it

  • Ed Sheeran-+

I don't think this album will ever be over played! And I love X but I this album is so much more summery

    • U.N.I.
    • Little Bird
    • Gold Rush (this is my favourite Ed Sheeran song ahh I love it)

  • Justin Nozuka-Holly

Okay so this is my "go-to" album if I need to sing. You know that feeling when you just need to run around your house singing with so much power and emotion but yet you need to feel like you're singing well? Well if you know what I'm talking about then you need this album! But there's actually only one song from this album in this specific playlist because it's the happiest feeling song on the album and that isssss...

    • After Tonight

  • Vance Joy-Riptide

I haven't listened to their full album yet but i love this song so much! Whenever it comes on in the car I make sure it's turned up because it's so happy:')

  • D at Sea-Anchors and Diamonds

This is such an amazing EP and I had it on repeat whilst I was on holiday! It's so easy to listen to and every song has a really great meaning... but the three on my playlist areeeee

    • Little love
    • Stars In Your Eyes
    • Pop Flip Catch

Okay that was a lot of reading for a couple of songs so here are just a few others that scream SUMMER

  • A Great Big World-Rockstar
  • Mine For Me-Fatherson (also the alternative version is amazing)
  • Bones-Josh Record
  • King Charles-Lady Percy
  • King Charles-Bam Bam
  • Walking on Cars-Hand in Hand
Oh oh ohhhhh I almost forgot to mention my new purchase! I bought some "urbeats" and they're just perfect! I really do recommend you buy some because I can't even put into words how great they make everything sound :)))

I hope you don't think my music taste is too awful and enjoy the rest of your summer :')

Introductions are NOT my forte...

Hiya,
So I've been thinking about my first post for a while now and its not been very successful if I'm honest! I thought about doing the "50 facts" thing but for some strange reason (that I can't remember) I decided against that. So I turned to Google... and what did it say?!

"If we met in a coffee shop and I asked you to tell me about yourself, what would you say?" So lemme give this a go!

((But before I start I have to say we must have met in Starbucks because I'm a snob when it comes to coffee and refuse to go anywhere else))

Hi I'm Hana (yes spelt H-A-N-A) and I'm borderline obsessed with Starbucks... I can pretty much draw you out the menu board and tell you the prices of everything on it. At the moment my favourite drink is an iced mocha but this will probably change very soon. I love cookie dough ice cream, caramel waffles and angel cake but hey who doesn't?! I love having a good excuse to put my heels on and go crazy with my make-up but usually I go crazy with my make-up even if I don't have an excuse. I have a cat, a dog and a rabbit.

HEY FUN FACT: my rabbit is called Mr Harry Pickles because he has a white lightning bolt on his forehead!

I also hate feet (but once again - who doesn't?!) oh oh oh and I almost forgot I make SO many playlists but I'm sure I'll do a post about them very soon :)

Wow okay I did quite well at not waffling on too much but it did pretty much turn into a list of facts! So there you go... that's a little bit about me :)
